The context

The project, which will require a total investment of €150 million, involves the reconstruction of the complex formed by the hotels `Andalucía` (4E-384 rooms) and `Costa del Sol’ (4E-145). The client seeks to position Ikos Andalucía as a benchmark for excellence in the all-inclusive luxury ‘resorts’ sector in Spain.

 

The Solution

We lead, as project manager of the operation, the complete renovation of the project from its origin, adapting it to adjust to the standards of products and premium services of the hotel company. A full technical team is managing the renovation of the former Costa del Sol Princess Hotel, until its completion in 2020.

Located on the shores of a 14,000 square meter beach, the new Ikos Andalusia designed by Gronda Studio will have 411 rooms and suites that will be distributed between seven buildings. It will have eight restaurants, sports facilities, a theater, 3,100 meters of both outdoor and heated swimming pools and a spa.

Sustainability

Commitment to sustainability and local communities.

Within the sustainability project “Ikos Green”, a proposal has been made to regenerate and return the beach to its original state by means of dams and breakwaters, thus regenerating an extension of more than 14,000 m2 of sand.
